Kate joined Spire Healthcare in 2005 as Finance & Commercial Manager at the Murrayfield Edinburgh hospital. Working as part of the senior management team Kate played a lead role in pulling together a strategic review of the hospital’s business as well as developing annual operating plans. Kate was also responsible for management reporting, working closely with non-financial heads of department to enable the understanding of financial impact of day-to-day operational decisions.

Latterly Kate has led on a national project to support delivery of procurement savings in excess of £6m across the Spire Healthcare business which involved in-depth testing of assumptions, database design and delivery and working closely with colleagues across the business to aid understanding and delivery at hospital level.

Kate is tenacious and highly organised, has great communication skills and is able to work with ease at either a strategic or detailed level – switching easily as required; any project she takes on is in safe hands.
